Have a mac rather than Windows, but still want to play BattleDex? you can! Here are some of the ways people do:

Windows only for the foreseeable future. Boot Camp or VMWare with Windows is how people on Macs play.

If none of these work, please let someone on the BattleDex Developing Team, Testing Team, or one of the Moderators know and we will help you get it running. Though there is no mac version of the game right now, it is perfectly playable on macs

Well I am happy to report that the install works perfectly and so far the client looks good on OSX using wine.

Specifically:
Code:
[trepidation:~] chris% wine --version
wine-1.1.43
[trepidation:~] chris% ps axuw | egrep -i batt
chris    11709  95.5  7.5  3697696 314732 s002  R    11:05AM   2:24.73 /opt/local/libexec/wine/wine C:\Program Files\Battle Dex\BattleDex.exe

I've yet to play a game or anything though, just moving through the screens.

edit:

Client under wine is missing ground textures and I assume skybox?
Fonts are also icky and hard to read.

Other than that, everything seemed to work fine.

I can report the same texture story on Ubuntu 10.10, although the fonts are fine. Game plays fine, just takes a little experimental clicking to figure out where things can move :)

There are a ton of players that I've recommended this game to that will never see this post. This game should be made Mac compatible asap for great justice!!.

there should just be a "help FAQ" in-game. For macs, various things that one could mistake for a bug but is actually correct, etc.

Like in WoW if something's wrong, theres a help button with a search bar and a ton of stuff that are FAQ's. Then if something isnt there you Open a Ticket (talk to a dev). We could have that but instead of opening a ticket, make it a post in the forums
